Renae Zimmer, Certified Massage Therapist
Renae Zimmer CMT is the sole owner of Stretch & Release Massage Inc., who works in conjunction with Lake Marion Chiropractic. She is a certified massage therapist who graduated from the Minnesota School of Business with a diploma in massage therapy in March of 2013. In addition to her diploma, she has a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and a minor in coaching from the University of Minnesota. She has also successfully completed the first two courses in Kinesio Taping.
While attending college at the U of M she focused most of her studies on sports injuries, sport psychology and youth sports. She is a certified coach by the state of Minnesota. Along with this she is also first responder certified.
Alongside her college studies, she has been deeply involved in youth and high school women's gymnastics. She has been an assistant coach at the high school level for 7 years at both Lakeville High Schools and also at Prior Lake. Also recently promoted to the head coach of the youth program at Lakeville, she has been involved with coaching youth gymnastics since she was in High School.
Her experience in coaching gymnastics for many years has given her extensive experience with sports injuries. She has worked with many athletes being rehabilitated through minor and major injuries. This experience has lead her down the path of studies she has chosen. As a massage therapist she hopes to help correct and rehabilitate bodies that are in dysfunction through manual soft tissue manipulation. My specialties are deep tissue massage, sports massage and myofascial release.
